Congratulations on your new puppy! We are here to provide your puppy with the proper medical care so that your puppy grows up healthy and strong. During your puppy’s first visit with us, we will perform a thorough examination, create a customized vaccination schedule and administer any vaccines your puppy may need. We are also here to answer any of your questions regarding what to feed your puppy, talk about any behavioral issues you may be experiencing with your puppy, and talk about the best time to spay or neuter your puppy.
Puppy Vaccinations
Your new puppy will receive a series of vaccinations monthly until he or she is over 4 months old. Then most dogs require vaccines yearly or every 3 years. There are many diseases that are preventable through the judicious use of vaccines, so it is important to create an individualized protocol early in life to protect both your puppy and your family.
Microchipping Your Puppy
We recommend microchipping your new puppy so he or she can return home safely if they are lost or stolen. The unique identifier from your pet’s microchip will help bring them home safely, providing shelters and animal hospitals with your contact information to reunite you with your pet. Your Puppy’s First Visit
For your puppy’s first exam, we ask that you bring any health information provided to you by the seller or shelter. We also ask that you bring a fresh stool sample and bring your puppy on a leash or in a secure carrier for the safety of your puppy.
