Fenton River Veterinary Hospital is equipped to handle whatever surgery your large animal may need. The most common surgeries we perform on-farm are castrations, dis-budding/horn removals and cesarean sections. However, we are able to offer these procedures in the hospital as well.
Male sheep and goats that develop a blocked urethra and are unable to urinate often require emergency surgery for survival. We perform tube cystotomies at our Stafford facility as a surgical option. This is a complex procedure that must be performed in a clean surgical environment. We offer hospitalization for these animals for a duration of time following the surgery.
Whatever the surgery, we are knowledgeable and well-equipped to handle most cases. Please call us with any questions you may have!
