Rebecca grew up in southern New Hampshire surrounded by many animals. Although she meant to become a veterinarian when she was little, her career drifted into research early in college and she received her bachelor’s degree from Tufts University and a PhD in Molecular Biology from Princeton University. After many years of doing research and raising a family, she decided to turn back to her first love and received her veterinary degree from Tufts University. During this time she had the opportunity to travel with the Nuñoa Project and work with alpaca farmers in Peru. Rebecca loves taking care of all animals, both big and small, but particularly enjoys working with small backyard farms.
Rebecca shares her chaotic home and farm with her five kids, husband, 3 dogs, a llama, an alpaca, some poultry and a herd of troublesome goats.
